Rick was raised in a home where he went to church every week. His family moved to the Claremore area when he was 12 years old. He went to Verdigris through the 8th grade and then to Claremore High School and graduated in 1978. After high school, he went to Claremore Jr. College, which is now Rogers State University. After that, he went to Bible school where he met his wife Tina, and they married shortly after. They moved to Clovis, New Mexico to become youth ministers at a local church and stayed there for 17 years working with teenagers and loved every minute of it. There were times they thought they would be there forever, but could never get away from the desire to move back to Rick’s home town. Rick began to ask the Lord about His plan for his family’s future and years later, they were back in Rick’s home state. Rick and Tina have three kids and two grandchildren. If you are looking for a great church, they invite you to come and be a part of what is taking place at Cedar Point Church. We are passionate about being a church that’s good to our city and are so grateful God has given us the opportunity to minister in Claremore. We look forward to seeing you. Welcome home!
At the age of 10, AshLeigh knew she was called to ministry. It wasn’t until she was a few years older that she discovered children’s ministry was something that was very special to her. She was encouraged, impacted, invested in, and prayed for by her children’s pastor and she believes that’s why God has called her to reach children. With the help of amazing Kidslife volunteers, great things are taking place every weekend. AshLeigh and her team look forward to meeting your family and giving your children a safe place to learn just how much Jesus loves them!

Young Adult Pastor
David and Jamie have made Claremore their home since 1990. Growing up in Christian families, serving the church is part of their family’s heritage. “Ministry is not just what we ‘do’ it is who we are; servants in God’s grand plan,” they explain. Feeling God’s call to find a church “for the next generation” the Brace’s were called to Cedar Point Church in 2006. David and Jamie have two children Averey and Landon. David is currently ministering to the young adults at The Crossing. Don’t let the ‘grey’ fool you he is still one of you. A heart for fun, a desire for spiritual relevance in his own life, and some wisdom/experience he is willing to share. His goal is to meet you where you are and walk with you as you discover God’s purpose in your life. Jamie is currently serving as the Marketing/Communications Director for Cedar Point Church.
